Lt. General Casey is a secondary character in Mars Attacks!. He is a pacifistic flag officer in the U.S. Army.
He is portrayed by Paul Winfield.

He was a flag officer in the U.S. Army, though his first name is never stated. He was a subordinate of General Decker, being inferior only by one level as he was a 3-star general while Decker was a 4-star.
Personality[]
Unlike Decker, Casey was peaceful and saw no bad intentions on the part of the Martians.

At the beginning of the film, he questions whether the saucers are armed or not.
Casey was ordered by President Dale to meet the landing Martians in the Nevada desert. Although the meeting with the Martian Ambassador went well at first, things took a turn for the worst when when the latter shot down a peace dove. This shocked Casey who in turn disintegrated, leaving only his skeleton. He is the Martians' first human victim.
